Scrutinizing Mentor Text in Virtual EFL Writing Course: A Text Modeling Approach during ERT in Indonesia

چکیده
Writing English argumentative essays has brought suffering and constraints for EFL university students since it requires relevant argumentativeness knowledge of text genre grammar vocabulary mastery. Mentor can be an effective scaffold them to understand the essay. Little is known about students' perspectives on writing essay mentor texts given them. To fill void, this present study was carried out in a qualitative framework. Twenty-nine who attended were exposed four selected during virtual course voluntarily took part by filling online questionnaire. The findings show that experienced felt various positive negative emotional expressions, such as challenge, difficulty, enjoyment. perceived beneficial very helpful learning, understanding, producing essays. Those contain clear structure, thesis, good writer's delivery so easily emulate adapt into their writing.<p> </p>
